After finishing our year-long Pathfinder dark fantasy homebrew campaign “Out of Darkness, Comes the Light”, our in-person, greensborough based 18+ group are jumping into something completely different, and much lighter, and we’re opening a few spots.
We’re starting a trial of Masks: A New Generation, a rules-light, story-heavy superhero tabletop roleplaying game that focuses on identity, emotions, teamwork, and the messy process of growing into the hero you’re meant to be.
This game is:
Free to join
Open to adults (18+)
Neurodiverse (a mix of neurotypical and neurodivergent), with a supportive and flexible play style.
Beginner-friendly but also great for experienced roleplayers who like story over stats.
Game premise:
It’s 1963. You’ve just made the decision to become a superhero. No base. No team. Just a costume, a calling, and a handful of shaky ideas about justice.
While patrolling the dim alleyways of Halcyon City, a shimmer appears in the darkness. A translucent robotic woman flickers into view — her design decades beyond anything you’ve ever seen. She pauses, looks directly at you, and says:
“Help me, (your superhero name). You are my handsome master’s only hope.”
She flickers again, unstable, as though she might vanish any second.
This one or two session adventure is the precursor to a possible campaign where you will play the superheroic grandchildren of your initial character!
About the game:
Powered by the Apocalypse (PBTA) system
Only uses 2d6 (plus bonuses)
Fast and easy character creation (or use one of the premades my client has made)
