I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was when I came upon your website. It’s so great to see Geek Therapy spreading to Australia!
Hopefully, Geek Therapy becomes a recognized therapeutic approach/method.
In Australia, “Gaming Therapy” has been explicitly removed from the allowable supports from our disability funding scheme. Fortunately, this only means where it is directly billed as a therapy from a psychotherapist, and there are other line items and funding categories allied health professionals can use to support clients while utilising games.
But alas, it will be a long time for Geek Therapy to become recognised here. (And we were almost there!)
