If you enjoy tabletop RPGs and like helping people feel confident at the table, this could be a great fit.

My favourite grass roots charity, Autism Valued, is looking for a Dungeon Master Assistant to support their Dungeons & Dragons groups. The role is mostly about helping the main DM, guiding players when they need it, and contributing to a positive, welcoming game environment.

You don’t need deep rules knowledge — just a willingness to learn, communicate well, and be part of a supportive team.

A Working With Children Check is required eventually, and they use tools like Zoom, Google Suite, and Discord.

It’s a meaningful way to use your love of gaming, build facilitation skills, and support neurodivergent players in a really supportive community.

Several game masters involved with the Game Therapy Network have been working with AV for the last 5 years in various volunteer and paid facilitator roles, and have found them to be an amazing support for families and they never hesitate to recommend them to private clients.
