Ran a session today where I roleplayed arguing supervillains with a PDA AuDHD 12-year-old.

(The cartoon was part of my session notes, lol)

It looked like a soap opera on the surface, but underneath we were working on theory of mind, perspective-taking, logic, debating, emotional regulation, and flexible thinking.

Villains are great because they disagree loudly, justify their motives, and spot flaws in arguments.

By roleplaying a supervillain group, we can switch characters, perspectives, and motives, while also using a shared villainous persona as a mediator.

When learning feels like play, kids will happily practice skills they’d otherwise avoid.

Sometimes the best therapy tool is a dramatic monologue and a really petty nemesis, lol.

*I accidentally deleted the name of the small villain’s name: Micro Murderer.
